Job summary

Carrier seeks a 2nd Shift HVAC Supervisor & Engineering Lab Technician at our Charlotte manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of technicians, oversee water- and air-cooled chiller testing, and ensure product quality during a critical production ramp.

You will personally run tests, monitor instrumentation, and manage infrastructure like boilers and high‑pressure pumping systems, while maintaining safety and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 5+ years HVAC industry experience.
• 2+ years experience with precise measurement systems (electrical, temperature, pressure, flow).
• 1+ years of high voltage or high‑power electrical experience including safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize a team of technicians (run techs and setup techs) to conduct water‑cooled and air‑cooled chiller testing.
• Personally execute test runs, set up chillers with relevant instrumentation (flow meters, pressure sensors, etc.), and monitor data acquisition systems.
• Manage and monitor support infrastructure, including boilers, cooling towers, and high‑pressure pumping systems.
• Identify failures in PLCs or instrumentation; coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Enforce strict electrical safety (High Power / High Voltage) and calibration standards to maintain a zero‑incident environment.
