Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to optimize water-cooled applied chiller production. You will lead second-shift efforts, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

You will design processes, improve layouts, and mentor staff while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Experience with ASME/MIG and Lean Six Sigma is valued. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Engineering field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience; 3+ years with advanced degree.
• Strong troubleshooting in mechanical systems; knowledge of ASME standards and MIG welding.
• Ability to work second shift and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and evaluate manufacturing processes and layouts.
• Respond to unplanned events and diagnose mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Plan assembly and materials handling layouts; sequence operations for quality.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and maintain process documentation.
• Support existing product line design activities and modifications.
• Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen for waste/cost reduction.
