Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to advance air-cooled chiller production. You will support mechanical assemblies, electrical integration, controls, and testing on the factory floor.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, line-side troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, including NPI support and process optimization, with leadership to mentor operators and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics)
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Operations Support: provide day-to-day engineering support for air-cooled chiller production operations and lead resolution of complex manufacturing issues.
• Line-Side Problem Resolution: troubleshoot issues in real time on the factory floor with production teams to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Process Development & Continuous Improvement: develop and optimize manufacturing processes for mechanical assembly, electrical integration, and factory testing; lead root cause investigations.
• Electrical & Controls Engineering: troubleshoot control panels, wiring, sensors, actuators, PLC-based systems; interpret schematics and documentation.
• Mechanical Systems Support: troubleshoot refrigeration systems, piping, and structural assemblies; enhance manufacturability with tooling and fixtures.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): support product launches through process development, validation and production readiness.
• Process Design & Factory Optimization: analyze and design manufacturing processes for full equipment utilization and improved flow and capacity.
• Technical Leadership: mentor and train junior engineers and production teams on the factory floor.
