Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Automation team in Costa Mesa, CA. You will develop automated solutions for production with design and manufacturing colleagues to enable high-rate production.

You will audit existing processes, design tooling, document workflows, and lead projects to improve throughput, quality, cost and safety while training production staff on new systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 4+ years in manufacturing or process engineering focusing on automation.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (NX preferred).
• Solid DFA/DFM knowledge and applying it to automated production.
• Experience with robotics, CNC, or additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated solutions for production with design and manufacturing teams.
• Drive DFM/DFA for high-rate production.
• Audit current production for throughput, quality, cost, and safety.
• Design and implement robust automated processes.
• Specify and validate tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Create manufacturing docs like work instructions and control plans.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate new automation technologies and methods.
• Manage automation and capacity-expansion projects.
• Provide production support and train staff on new processes.
