Job summary

RTX, Collins Aerospace division, is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support the crew mask oxygen assembly and related manufacturing operations. The role involves applying advanced engineering concepts to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and ensure quality.

The candidate will develop routings, labor standards, and work instructions, while collaborating with Product Engineering to drive process improvements and system enhancements across manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering and process improvement.
• Ability to apply DFM techniques to product development.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and production planning methods.
• Familiarity with PFMEA and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs Manufacturing Engineering assignments under general direction and supervision.
• Use DFM Techniques to assist Product Engineering on development of new products and redesign of existing products.
• Develops routings and labor standards and updates the ERP System.
• Writes and/or modifies manufacturing work instructions and acceptance test procedures.
• Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routing.
• Designs systems, processes and equipment to increase efficiency, decrease costs, and improve quality and reliability.
• Designs tools and fixtures for production and acceptance testing.
• Designs and modifies small cell or simple assembly lines within plant facilities for efficient layout.
