Job summary
Dover Corporation through its OPW Ball Ground operations seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence. The role focuses on process optimization, facility layout improvements, and the implementation of new manufacturing technologies to boost productivity and quality.
The engineer will lead time studies, line balancing, and capital projects while leveraging SolidWorks, CNC equipment, and automation to enhance safety and efficiency across production lines.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in industrial/ manufacturing/ mechanical engineering or related field.
- 5+ years in an engineering-to-order manufacturing environment leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, OpEx, and capital equipment implementations.
Responsibilities
- Lead time studies, capacity analysis, line balancing to improve throughput and labor efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard work instructions, routings, and process documentation.
- Lead capital equipment projects including ROI, productivity gains, and installation/startup.
- Design manufacturing fixtures and plant layouts using SolidWorks; collaborate with product engineering to improve manufacturability.
