Job summary

OPW, a global leader in fluid-handling solutions, is seeking an Industrial & Manufacturing Engineer to drive operational excellence in Ball Ground. You will lead time studies, capacity analysis, line balancing, and layout improvements while evaluating new equipment and automation to boost productivity and quality.

In this role you will collaborate with production, quality, supply chain and engineering teams, using SolidWorks and ERP tools to support manufacturing improvements and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in an Engineering-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and capital equipment implementations.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and IE methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies, work sampling, labor analysis, and line balancing to improve throughput.
• Develop standard work instructions, routings, and process documentation.
• Analyze plant performance metrics including cycle times, capacity utilization, OEE, labor productivity.
• Lead Lean initiatives: 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Support workforce planning through labor standards and capacity modelling.
• Lead equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.
• Develop ROI and capacity analyses for capital projects.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams for new product introductions.
