Job summary

International Motors in San Antonio, TX seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer for night shift to keep production running safely and reliably. You will respond to downtime, diagnose faults, and support torque tooling, fixtures, and assembly processes on the shop floor.

Initially day shift, this role will transition to a night schedule as the operation ramps in early 2027. The position offers a salaried, on-site role with a 10% night shift differential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; or 2+ years of product manufacturing experience.
• Experience with automotive/high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Hands-on shop floor capability with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to process issues and downtime events to keep production moving.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and workflows.
• Design and support fixtures, jigs, tooling, gauges, and assembly aids.
• Use root-cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve issues.
• Analyze production data to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Create and maintain process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, and standardized work.
• Support new product launches, engineering changes, equipment commissioning, and validation.
• Lead Lean, 5S, waste reduction, cycle-time, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, establish labor standards, and propose changes.
• Lead projects from concept to implementation and maintain records.
