Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize processes, lead lean initiatives, and drive efficiency across KUAS manufacturing operations in California. The role emphasizes collaboration with IPT and program managers to ensure on-time, cost-effective production.

The successful candidate will develop workflows, validate tooling, and mentor staff while upholding safety and quality standards in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field (Manufacturing Engineering preferred).
• 2–10 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience (level dependent).
• Experience with lean manufacturing, producibility concepts, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and improves manufacturing processes to maximize throughput and efficiency.
• Coordinate engineering changes and new product introductions; apply Lean methodologies.
• Partner with IPT, Program managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure schedule integrity.
• Design workstation layouts with ergonomics, measure staffing, and mentor others.
• Maintain shop floor data integrity and document manufacturing processes in detail.
• Review and approve engineering design changes and manage tooling and equipment.
