Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Tool Design Engineer at multiple levels to design and develop tooling for manufacturing and engineering. You will use CAD tools (Catia/3Dx preferred), apply GD&T, and contribute to fixture tooling, jigs, and fixtures for composite and metal parts.

Position requires a related BS degree and extensive CAD experience, with opportunities to lead small teams and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and customers. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires related BS degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Minimum of 6 years related experience (4 years with Masters).
• Proficient knowledge of CAD (Drafting, 3D Modeling, Surfacing). Catia/3Dx preferred.
• Able to translate data using IGES, STEP, Model, or similar.
• Proficient with measuring instruments and GD&T.
• Familiar with composite design, lay-up, assembly, and mill tooling.
• Familiar with PLM systems and configuration control.
• May require U.S. security clearance (citizenship needed).

Responsabilités

• Design and develop tooling to support manufacturing processes.
• Create precise tooling models using CAD; document designs.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance analyses for practical tool designs.
• Lead small teams and liaise with engineering, manufacturing, and customers.
• Contribute to work instructions and maintain design configuration control.
• Support safety and Ergonomics considerations in tooling design.
