Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., a leading defense technology company, is seeking a Tool Design Engineer at all levels for the KUAS division. The role focuses on designing tooling for manufacturing, leveraging CAD (Catia/3Dx), GD&T, and PLM to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

The candidate will work within a team to innovate tooling solutions, improve processes, and support manufacturing operations at multiple levels, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Requires a related BS degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Minimum of 6 years related experience (4 years with a Masters).
• Proficient knowledge of CAD (Drafting, 3D Modeling, Surfacing). Catia/3Dx Preferred.
• Proficient with PLM systems, Configuration Control.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools to facilitate, execute and optimize the manufacturing process.
• Proficient in CAD to design tooling models for fabrication.
• Apply GD&T for precise tool designs and drawings.
• Support cost reduction programs through lean manufacturing concepts.
• Lead and mentor tool design engineers when required.
