Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing / Process Engineer to develop, improve, and sustain manufacturing and assembly processes for turbine engines and aerospace products. You will provide direct technical support to production and lead structured problem-solving across operations, quality, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering.
• Three or more years of manufacturing/process engineering experience.
• Experience solving complex manufacturing or product-quality problems using structured methods.
• Experience developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Hands-on experience with production personnel in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, implement, and maintain manufacturing, assembly, inspection, test, and material-handling processes.
• Lead structured problem-solving activities across manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to technicians and production leadership.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Define requirements for tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing systems; support equipment qualification and maintenance.
• Support new-product introduction and production readiness from design through pilot and production.
• Collaborate with supply chain, design engineering, and program management to meet constraints and schedules.
• Train personnel on new processes and maintain proper documentation and records.
• Support PFMEA, control plans, inspection planning, and CAPA processes.
• Balance multiple programs in a fast-paced environment; ensure adherence to requirements.
