Qualifications

• BS / MS in engineering or related field.
• Experience in an engineer-to-order or make-to-order environment.
• Strong analytical and change-management skills.
• Experience driving Lean initiatives and cost reductions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production activities through data analysis to identify opportunities for improvements in productivity, material flow, safety, quality, and cost.
• Lead the implementation of Lean elements: Standardized Work Instructions, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/5S.
• Lead labor estimating and develop cost models; conduct time studies and audits to validate estimates.
• Manage multiple CAPEX projects from ROQ through acquisition and implementation.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams with Engineering, Production and Estimating to drive efficiencies and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Collaborate with design engineering on manufacturability and concurrent engineering.
• Provide shop floor feedback on product design and manufacturability issues to Engineering and DFMAs.
• Document and track cost savings and process improvements against targets.
• Evaluate quality data and implement improvement activities to meet requirements.
• Plan facility and work cell layouts to optimize material and product flow.
• Develop and implement production tools and assets to maximize labor efficiency and reduce total cost.
