Qualified Staffing in Macon, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing setting. You will partner with production, engineering, quality, safety, and supply chain to reduce waste, boost productivity, and enhance process capability.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience and a strong background in Lean, Kaizen, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and standard work.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Kaizen, root cause analysis, value stream mapping, standard work and problem solving.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering, quality, safety and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Work with production to understand challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and process capability.
• Reduce waste related to inventory, downtime, scrap, material utilization, and time management.
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other CI tools to improve processes.
• Conduct process mapping, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
• Identify bottlenecks and develop countermeasures.
• Lead and support CI projects across operations.
• Develop and implement standardized processes and best practices.
• Support pilot programs, process trials, and new product development activities.
• Evaluate processes and recommend improvements to equipment, workflow, layout, and production methods.
• Collaborate across departments to sustain process improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and manufacturing performance to identify opportunities.
• Promote safety, quality, productivity, waste reduction, and CI culture.
