Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support current manufacturing and lead continuous improvement across plant processes. You will develop new processes, tooling, and production controls, set up new equipment, and train staff on proper operation.

The role emphasizes Lean, Kaizen, and cost-conscious manufacturing to meet financial goals. Responsibilities include equipment planning, TAKT balancing, and collaboration with design, quality, and safety teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 3–5 years of progressive, hands-on manufacturing engineering experience.
• If no four-year engineering degree, 7–10 years of experience required.
• Minimum 1 year HVAC Plant Continuous Improvement Manager experience preferred.
• Experience in low volume, high mix environments preferred.
• Knowledge of formal problem solving methods with financial controls and product costing.
• Experience with new products/process introductions and lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications, cost estimates, and feasibility for orders and production.
• Develop processes, tooling, and production controls for new products; supervise assembly and proofing.
• Support production to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Monitor scrap reduction and uptime improvements.
