Job summary

Johnson Controls in Wisconsin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, 1st shift, to support current manufacturing and drive continuous improvement across methods and processes. You will develop new processes, tooling, and production controls, set up new equipment, and train others in its use while aligning with cost and quality targets.

Key duties include evaluating manufacturability, estimating costs and schedules, leading Kaizen events, managing capital equipment, coordinating new product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 1–3 years of progressive manufacturing eng. experience.
• Knowledge of formal problem solving methods and experience with financial controls and product costing.
• Lean manufacturing experience and working knowledge of procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and bids to establish feasibility, manufacturability, cost and delivery.
• Develop processes, tooling, and production controls for new products and programs; supervise assembly and proofing.
• Support production to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Coordinate new product development and cost reduction activities.
• Lead Kaizen events and manage capital equipment planning and procurement.
• Ensure proper operation of plant manufacturing software and equipment.
