Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Leader to drive tools, controls, equipment and processes for fabrication and assembly of commercial units. A significant portion of time is devoted to team development, performance management and Lean leadership across the organization.

You will work closely with Operations, Quality, NPI and supplier engineering, developing future state plans and guiding Lean improvements while maintaining safety and cost discipline.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or related field, BS preferred.
• Minimum 8 years manufacturing/production ops and/or engineering experience.
• At least 5 years supervisory/management experience of manufacturing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Manage Manufacturing Engineering personnel and Lean Manufacturing professionals (4 currently).
• Develop Future State vision and drive implementation.
• Provide direction to staff with significant latitude in assignments.
• Align resources and identify improvement opportunities in existing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, Quality, NPI, Supplier Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
• Ensure inputs from customers are understood and plans are executed.
• Provide leadership in technical strategies and approaches.
• Recruit, coach, and develop organizational talent.
• Foster a diverse workplace and entrepreneurial environment.
