Qualifications

• BS / MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial engineering.
• LEAN / Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks & AutoCAD
• Experience in a make to order / engineer to order project environment.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Eng

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production activities through data analysis to identify opportunities for improvements in productivity, material flow, safety, quality, and cost.
• Lead the implementation of Lean elements: Standardized Work Instructions, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen/5S.
• Lead labor estimating and develop cost models; conduct time studies and audits to validate costs.
• Manage multiple CAPEX projects including ROQ, Scope of Work creation, Gantt, procurement, and installation.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams with Engineering, Production and Estimating to drive efficiencies.
• Collaborate with design engineering in concurrent engineering to improve manufacturability.
• Provide shop floor feedback on product design and manufacturability issues to Engineering and DFMA.
• Document and track all cost savings and process improvements against targets.
• Plan and execute facility and work cell layout modifications to optimize material and product flow.
• Develop, design, justify and implement production tools and assets to maximize labor efficiency.
