Job summary

TAS Energy in Wisconsin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to support production operations by designing, building and implementing process improvements in a make-to-order environment. The role emphasizes driving continuous improvement and documenting procedures to sustain manufacturing performance.

The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, leading Lean initiatives, and developing cost models while ensuring safety and quality standards across manufacturing activities.

Qualifications

  • BS / MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial engineering.
  • LEAN / Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks & AutoCAD
  • Experience in make-to-order / engineer-to-order projects.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate production activities via data analysis to identify productivity, flow, safety, quality and cost improvements.
  • Lead Lean elements: Standardized Work, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/5S.
  • Develop labor estimates and cost models; perform time studies and audits.
  • Manage multiple CAPEX projects from ROQ to implementation and handover.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiencies and eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Provide feedback on manufacturability and coordinate with design engineering.
  • Document cost savings and process improvements against targets.
  • Ensure quality data is analyzed and improvement actions are taken.
  • Plan and execute facility/work cell layout changes to optimize flow.
