Job summary

TAS Energy Inc, a Houston, TX‑headquartered company, is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer III to support production by designing jigs, tooling and fixtures for high-quality, efficient operations. You will drive Lean initiatives, collaborate with production and quality, and lead cross‑functional teams to improve manufacturability and cost performance.

Responsibilities include evaluating tasks, developing tools, and maintaining cost models while ensuring adherence to customer specifications

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering.
• Familiarity with fabrication, welding and assembly processes.
• Experience implementing Lean processes (5S, standard work, etc.).
• Strong blueprint reading and P&ID interpretation.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks & AutoCAD.
• Experience in a make-to-order/engineer-to-order environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production tasks/drawings to meet CTF metrics; create tools, fixtures or gauges.
• Collaborate with production and quality for tool implementation.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, material flow, safety and cost.
• Prioritize actions, set schedules, and implement savings measures.
• Lead Lean elements: Standardized Work Instructions, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/5S.
• Conduct time studies and adjust labor estimates to reflect costs.
• Collaborate with vendors to determine specifications and assess products.
• Lead cross-functional teams with Engineering, Production and Estimating.
• Partner with design engineering to ensure manufacturability.
• Provide shop floor feedback to Engineering/DFMs and update drawings as needed.
• Document and track cost savings and process improvements against targets.
• Evaluate quality data and drive improvement activities.
• Plan facility/work cell layouts to optimize flow; develop production tools and assets.
• Support estimating with direct labor and material cost estimates.
