Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and implement new or revised manufacturing and production processes for aerospace hardware. You will translate engineering intent into flight-ready hardware, craft build plans, and drive change from development to production on the Space Coast, FL.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 2+ Level II Engineer, 5+ Level III Engineer, 8+ Sr Level Engineer experience in relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
  • Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Translate engineering intent and drawings into hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting BOMs and work instructions.
  • Identify tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
  • Provide shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
  • Generate, manage, and close NCRs.
  • Support introduction of new products by crafting manufacturing plan artifacts.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing productivity.
  • Drive transition from development to production, troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
