Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking world-class Manufacturing Engineers to apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement manufacturing and production processes for aerospace hardware. You will work on New Glenn components, translating engineering intent into functional hardware, crafting BOMs, tool lists, and production plans to ensure safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
• Experience with CAD software and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Translating engineering intent and drawings into hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing BOMs and work instructions.
• Identify tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
• Provide shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
• Generate, manage, and close NCRs.
• Support introduction of new products by crafting build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
