Job summary

Blue Origin, based in the United States, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize aerospace manufacturing processes for launch vehicles and related systems. You will ensure efficiency, quality, and safety while supporting production across Blue Origin facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace or related field.
3+ years' experience with aerospace manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools proficiency.
Experience with process documentation and manufacturing work instructions.
Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes and assembly methods.
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process specs, and SOPs.
Support production planning and scheduling to ensure on-time delivery.
Perform process capability studies and implement SPC methods.
Lead continuous improvement to enhance quality, reduce costs and boost efficiency.
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive root cause analysis.
Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and DFx principles.
Develop tooling and fixture requirements for manufacturing operations.
Support new product introductions and technology transfer to production.
Perform manufacturing risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in cross-functional DFx/DFMEA and RCIs.
