Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a 2nd shift manufacturing engineering support specialist to help keep the production floor running smoothly. You will maintain instruction sheets, create routings in Solumina, and drive improvements to reduce costs while ensuring quality.

Ideal candidates have a university degree with 5+ years of manufacturing and ERP experience (SAP/Solumina); must be a U.S. person.

Qualifications

• University degree (or advanced degree) in a related field with 3–5+ years of experience.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues.
• U.S. Person / Permanent Resident (Green Card) holder.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Solumina.
• Manufacturing and aerospace industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary 2nd shift manufacturing engineering support for the production floor.
• Maintain job instruction sheets to current requirements.
• Create and update routings in Solumina.
• Work non-conforming hardware through rework and RCCA activities.
• Design and order new/replacement tooling to support operations.
• Make systematic improvements to drive manufacturing costs down.
• Utilize data to characterize process failures and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and implement improvement and automation projects.
• Drive all manufacturing readiness levels for activities in development.
