Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide 2nd shift support on the production floor in Rockford, IL. The role focuses on keeping work instructions current, updating routings in Solumina, and guiding non-conforming hardware through RCCA and rework processes.

The position requires a university degree with 2+ years of related experience or an advanced degree. U.S. Person status is required for eligibility and safety clearances are managed through the RTX organization.

Competenze

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting production issues.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

Mansioni

• Serve as the primary 2nd shift manufacturing engineering support for the production floor.
• Maintain job instruction sheets to current requirements.
• Create and update routings in Solumina.
• Work non-conforming hardware through rework and RCCA activities.
• Design and order new/replacement tooling to support operations.
• Make systematic improvements to drive manufacturing costs down.
• Utilizing data, characterize process failures using root cause investigations implementing corrective actions and mistake-proofing.
• Identify and implement improvement and automation projects.
• Drive all manufacturing readiness levels for all activities in development.
