Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Engineer to provide primary floor-level engineering support. You will maintain work instructions, create routings in Solumina, and drive improvements across tooling, RCCA, and readiness for development activities.

The role requires a university degree with 5+ years of related experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years. U.S. citizenship or a Green Card is required.

Qualifications

• University degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with at least 3 years.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting production issues.
• U.S. Person/Green Card holder required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary 2nd shift manufacturing engineering support for the production floor.
• Maintain job instruction sheets to current requirements.
• Create and update routings in Solumina.
• Work non-conforming hardware through rework and RCCA activities.
• Design and order new/replacement tooling to support operations.
• Make systematic improvements to drive manufacturing costs down.
• Utilize data to characterize process failures with root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Identify and implement improvement and automation projects.
• Drive all manufacturing readiness levels for all activities in development.
