Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace Operations is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of manufacturing and industrial engineers and machine programmers. You will partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to drive operational excellence and support strategic objectives.

This onsite role requires a degreed engineer with Lean/Six Sigma, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage projects, implement process improvements, and optimize safety,

Qualifications

• University degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 7+ years.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to program/contract information.
• 4+ years manufacturing/industrial engineering experience.
• 4+ years in technical leadership.
• 3+ years Lean or Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization.
• Experience with project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing and industrial engineers and machine programmers.
• Set goals, performance standards, and development plans for team members.
• Drive process optimization to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Own technical process standards, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Lead process validation activities and support new product introduction.
• Track engineering KPIs including OEE, scrap, downtime, and productivity improvements.
