Job summary

Fivetran, Inc. is seeking a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Senior Manager to strengthen our US GAAP and SOX framework in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

This Denver-based, hybrid role collaborates across Accounting Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and HR to scale processes and ensure robust internal controls. The candidate will lead complex transactions, coordinate with valuation specialists, and mentor a growing team while partnering with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license required.
• 7+ years in Big 4 and/or corporate accounting at a SaaS or high-growth tech company.
• Demonstrated expertise drafting memos on complex transactions.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX controls.
• Experience with external reporting, audit, or regulatory complexity.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools (Netsuite, Workiva).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate across departments.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and document technical accounting issues and memos.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies; lead implementation of changes.
• Coordinate with external valuation specialists for 409A, intangible assets, and equity valuations.
• Collaborate with Accounting Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, and others to operationalize guidance.
• Support external reporting readiness, disclosures, and process improvements.
• Design and implement SOX‑compliant processes and internal controls.
• Partner with external auditors and consultants to ensure timely conclusions.
• Provide training and mentorship on technical accounting topics.
