Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a self-motivated Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Senior Manager for our Denver office. This hybrid role blends remote work with two days in the office weekly, focusing on complex US GAAP matters and internal controls in a fast‑growing SaaS environment.

You will partner with Accounting Ops, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and HR to drive scalable processes, SOX controls, and external reporting readiness, including ASC 718, 350-40, 340, 805, 842, and 480.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA license required.
• 7+ years of combined experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate accounting at a SaaS or tech company.
• Demonstrated technical accounting expertise and memos on complex transactions.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX).
• Experience with external reporting complexity and audits; ERP and reporting tools knowledge.
• Excellent communication in cross‑functional environments; process automation mindset.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and document technical accounting issues and memos.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies; lead significant changes.
• Coordinate with valuation specialists on 409A and equity valuations.
• Collaborate across Accounting Ops, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR, and more.
• Enhance external reporting readiness and disclosures; improve processes.
• Design, implement SOX-compliant controls to support growth.
• Partner with auditors; ensure timely conclusions on accounting matters.
• Provide training and mentorship on technical accounting topics.
