Job summary

Fivetran in Oakland is seeking a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Senior Manager to lead complex accounting matters and build scalable processes. This full-time role blends remote work with in-office collaboration, totaling two days on-site weekly to strengthen the team.

You will work cross-functionally across Accounting, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and HR, shaping policies, assisting audits, and maturing internal controls in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA license is required.
• 7+ years of combined Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate accounting in SaaS or high-growth tech.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and SOX internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (NetSuite and Workiva preferred).

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and document technical accounting issues and memos with calculations for audits under US GAAP.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and lead implementation of significant changes.
• Work with external valuation specialists on 409A, intangible asset, and equity valuations.
• Collaborate across Accounting Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HR to operationalize guidance.
• Support external reporting readiness, including disclosures and process improvements.
• Help design and implement SOX-compliant accounting processes and internal controls.
• Partner with external auditors and consultants to ensure timely conclusions on accounting matters.
• Provide training and mentorship on technical accounting topics.
