Job summary

The Sr. Manager, Sustaining Process Engineering leads the team responsible for qualifying, monitoring, and continuously improving the fleet of novel laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) metal 3D printers in production.

This role owns the sustaining engineering function end-to-end: setting the technical strategy for tool qualification and health monitoring, growing and developing a team of Process Engineers and Technicians, and partnering with Applications, Hardware, Software, and Manufacturing to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years in advanced manufacturing or process engineering with metal AM or similar.
• 2+ years of direct people management, including hiring and coaching.
• Experience scaling sustaining/qualification functions in high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, mentor, and develop a team of Process Engineers & Technicians.
• Plan and prioritize sustaining process engineering for qualification and fleet health.
• Set standards for experimental design, statistical rigor, and data‑driven decisions.
• Review qualification reports and disposition decisions before release.
• Collaborate with Hardware/Software/Applications to align with product roadmap.
• Maintain SOPs, checklists, and analysis guides for consistency.
