Job summary

Seurat Technologies in Massachusetts is seeking a Process Engineer - Printing to advance its LPBF metal AM platform. You will create printing plans, tune process parameters, and operate the laser powder bed fusion equipment to produce parts that meet design requirements.

You will design DOEs, analyze results, guide technicians through post-processing, and collaborate with design engineers to improve printer performance in a cross‑functional team, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing, engineering, or R&D experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Use in-house and commercial AM data preparation software to create printing plans.
• Develop part printing processes based on first principles, data, and modeling.
• Design part printing processes to achieve geometrical features (overhangs, bridges, thin walls, supports, surface finish).
• Optimize process parameters (laser, gas flow, thermal, powder spreading).
• Conduct DOEs, operate printers to print parts, and create test reports.
• Guide technicians to conduct post processing of printed parts.
• Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Collaborate with design engineers to improve printer performance.
