Job summary

CesiumAstro in Austin, TX is seeking a Manager, Supplier Operations & Governance to lead supplier governance across the supply base. You will manage ASL, due diligence, risk assessment, and performance improvement while collaborating with Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing.

Applicants should bring advanced knowledge of supplier management, onboarding, compliance, and lifecycle processes, with strong leadership and ERP/BI tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7–9 years of related experience in supplier management or procurement.
• Master's degree with 5–7 years or PhD with 3–5 years in supplier governance.
• Advanced knowledge of supplier management, qualification, and governance principles.
• Experience leading cross-functional supplier governance activities and programs.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and BI/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and governance practices.
• Establish onboarding, qualification, approval, and exit procedures with clear criteria.
• Coordinate cross-functional supplier approval reviews with key teams.
• Oversee due diligence, site assessments, and risk evaluations for supply continuity.
• Evaluate supplier certifications, regulatory obligations, and contractual requirements.
• Lead supplier risk assessments and corrective action tracking.
• Implement lifecycle framework: Grow, Sustain, Exit for suppliers.
• Analyze supplier performance: quality, on-time delivery, capacity, risk.
• Guide scorecard reviews, improvements, and supplier transitions.
• Develop governance procedures, internal controls, and reporting measures.
• Improve supplier master data, ERP workflows, and governance controls.
