Job summary

Okta is seeking a Sr. Manager for Infrastructure Platform and Shared Services to guide edge networking, K8s platform, observability, and automation tooling across SRE and infra teams.

You will mentor a high-performing group, design scalable cloud platforms, and drive faster delivery while aligning with budget and scheduling constraints. This role demands strong leadership, deep cloud/native experience, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in technical leadership and people management.
• 3+ years running large-scale SaaS/cloud infra in public cloud (AWS preferred). Multi-cloud a plus.
• Cloud-native architectures and edge infrastructure (WAF, ALB, NLB, Apache, Nginx); IaC Terraform; Grafana; Splunk; CI/CD.
• Strong SRE automation & tooling background.
• Observability platforms and monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, APM) at scale.
• Proven cross-functional leadership across large programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• CS degree or related/equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Infra platform and shared services across SRE & Infra.
• Build observability platform and self-service monitoring.
• Increase velocity by developing robust platforms and tooling.
• Own design and operation of scalable, self-service Cloud infra platforms.
• Lead, mentor, and grow engineers and managers across SRE and infra.
• Evaluate designs and ensure project delivery within constraints.
• Improve SDLC for Cloud infrastructure as code and deployment processes.
• Manage service expectations and prioritise resources.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
