Job summary

Okta's Infrastructure Platform and Shared Services team is seeking a Sr. Manager to lead edge networking, Kubernetes platform, observability, automation platform, and tooling at scale in a cloud-native environment.

You will mentor a diverse group of engineers and managers, drive self-service capabilities, and own the design and operation of scalable cloud infrastructure platforms across SRE and infrastructure domains, while aligning with business goals and timelines.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in technical leadership & people management.
3+ years running large-scale infrastructure platforms for a SaaS/Cloud service in public Cloud.
Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, Edge infrastructure, IaC (Terraform), monitoring tools.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the Infra platform and shared services org and initiatives across SRE & Infrastructure.
Build a world-class observability platform and monitoring capabilities with self-service.
Accelerate SRE and product engineering velocity via robust platforms and tooling.
Own design and operation of scalable, self-service Cloud infrastructure platforms.
Lead, mentor, and grow engineers and managers across SRE and shared services.
Perform design evaluations and ensure projects meet constraints.
Improve SDLC for Cloud infrastructure as code and release management.
Manage service expectations and prioritize resources.
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and trends.
