Job summary

Okta is seeking a Sr. Manager of Infrastructure Platform and Shared Services to lead edge networking, K8s, observability, automation platform, and tooling at scale.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration across SRE and infrastructure teams in a fast-paced SaaS environment in the United States. You will own the design and operation of scalable, self-service cloud platforms, mentor a high-performing team, and continuously improve SDLC processes and deployment practices while aligning with

Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical leadership & people management.
• 3+ years running large-scale infrastructure platforms supporting a SaaS/Cloud service in a public Cloud (AWS preferred).
• Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures and edge infrastructure (WAF, ALB, NLB, Apache, Nginx).
• Hands-on experience in SRE automation and tooling.
• Deep experience building and operating observability platforms at scale (Grafana, Splunk, APM).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale programs.
• Computer Science Degree or related degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Infra platform and shared services org across SRE & Infrastructure initiatives.
• Build a world-class observability platform with self-service capabilities.
• Accelerate velocity of SRE and product engineering through robust platforms and tooling.
• Own the design and operation of scalable, self-service Cloud infrastructure platforms (Observability, deployments, Edge infra).
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers and managers.
• Perform engineering design evaluations within resource, budget, and scheduling constraints.
• Improve SDLC processes for Infrastructure as code and release management.
• Manage service expectations and prioritize resource allocation.
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and evolving technologies.
