Job summary

Ladders, a leader in the Healthcare space, is seeking a Director of AI Platforms & Engineering to shape the enterprise AI strategy and foundation for scalable delivery.

You will guide architecture decisions, platform evolution, and engineering standards across the organization, partnering with Enterprise Architecture, data and engineering teams, and business stakeholders in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• 6+ years of management experience overseeing teams and performance.
• Experience in software, data, or ML engineering in production environments.
• Proven ability to deploy ML/generative AI at enterprise scale.
• Familiarity with cloud data and AI platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of responsible AI, security, and governance in regulated sectors.
• Experience managing budgets and vendor commitments for technology/AI.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, AI Platforms & Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will shape the strategy and technical foundation for enterprise AI capabilities across the organization. You will guide architecture decisions, platform evolution, and engineering standards that enable scalable, secure, and reliable AI delivery. The position partners closely with Enterprise Architecture, data and engineering teams, and business stakeholders to support responsible innovation in a regulated healthcare environment.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $105,000 - $165,375 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the multi-year strategy for enterprise AI platforms
• Establish scalable architecture for AI technologies, ensuring flexibility across providers
• Set standards for AI architecture and tool selection in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture
• Develop frameworks for build, buy, or partner decisions for AI capabilities
• Oversee the evolution of AI platforms, services, and APIs to support scalable development
• Implement disciplined software engineering practices, including CI/CD and automated testing
• Manage operational reliability and performance of enterprise AI capabilities
