Job summary

CECO Environmental Corporation seeks an experienced Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to lead SEC filings and policy decisions.

You will collaborate with FP&A and auditors, interpret GAAP and SEC rules, and provide guidance on complex transactions while ensuring SOX compliance. This role demands strong communication and organizational skills in a corporate finance setting.

Qualifications

• CPA license is required.
• 7+ years in public accounting or corporate accounting focused on SEC reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting and SOX compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly (Form 10-Q) and annual (Form 10-K) SEC filings with MD&A and footnotes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal departments for timely filings.
• Collaborate with FP&A and other stakeholders on financial results and reporting consistency.
• Research, interpret and document technical accounting issues and new SEC regulations.
• Provide guidance on accounting policies and complex transactions (acquisitions, equity, revenue).
• Ensure SOX compliance related to financial reporting and technical accounting.
