Job summary

CECO Environmental is seeking a Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to lead our SEC filings and drive accounting policy alignment within the finance team in Addison, Texas.

The role requires strong U.S. GAAP and SEC knowledge, CPA qualification, and 7+ years in public or corporate accounting. You will liaise with auditors, FP&A, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA license required.
• 7+ years of experience in public or corporate accounting with a focus on SEC reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly Form 10-Q and annual Form 10-K filings with financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal departments to ensure timely SEC reports.
• Collaborate with FP&A and internal stakeholders to provide insights on financial results and reporting consistency.
• Research, interpret, and document technical accounting issues under U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
• Monitor and revise accounting policies; provide guidance on policy applications across the org.
• Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions (acquisitions, equity, revenue).
• Ensure SOX compliance related to financial reporting and technical accounting.
