Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA seeks a Senior Manager to lead satellite payload software and embedded networking development, architecting the onboard stack and coordinating end-to-end validation, including hardware-in-the-loop testing for launch readiness.

You will scale a high-performing engineering organization, hire and develop leaders, and drive reliability, performance, and security for space-grade systems across 600+ processors in constrained hardware

Qualifications

10+ years of engineering leadership experience in space, aerospace, or embedded systems.
Experience building and scaling engineering organizations (40+ people).
Strong track record delivering complex, multi-discipline programs in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

Define end-to-end network software architecture for satellite payload systems.
Architect Linux networking solutions for satellite systems.
Develop and oversee software for FPGA teams used in spacecraft; enable Gen 2 operations.
Lead embedded software development for satellite payload and ground systems.
Own testing strategy and HIL simulation frameworks; lead on-orbit software testing.
Partner with Hardware Engineering; drive alignment across design, integration, and launch.
Scale the network software engineering organization from current state to Gen 2.
