Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Professional Services Cloud Architects (PCAM) to lead a team of 8–10 PCAs in North America. This role blends hands‑on customer engagement with frontline leadership, coaching PCAs through complex situations and driving successful outcomes.

The position focuses on coaching, recruitment, performance management, and strategic engagement with customers and partners to strengthen CSAT and drive profitable delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT and/or Management Consulting, or 3+ years of people leadership experience
• 7+ years of technology sales, or 3+ years of management experience
• 10+ years of IT and/or Management Consulting Services, or 5+ years of senior leadership experience
• Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
• Experience with enterprise architecture including virtualization technologies and distributed architecture

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of 8–10 PCAs, fostering technical excellence, customer obsession, and a collaborative team culture
• Lead performance management, career development, goal setting, and regular 1:1 coaching
• Drive hiring, onboarding, and retention to build and maintain a high‑performing team
• Identify and develop future leaders; ensure team certification compliance
• Create an inclusive environment where PCAs can grow, take risks, and learn from ambiguity
• Serve as hands‑on technical and strategic advisor alongside PCAs in complex customer engagements
• Build trusted relationships with customers and partners, engaging at the executive level when needed
• Act as an escalation point for technical and commercial challenges within the team's portfolio
• Champion customer satisfaction (CSAT) improvements across all engagements
• Partner with peer PCA Managers to share best practices and balance workloads
• Collaborate with NAMER leadership on regional strategy and initiatives
• Work with ProServe Account Executives, Delivery Teams, and AGS Sales to ensure seamless handoffs
• Foster knowledge sharing and community of practice participation
• Drive Billable Bookings performance through team enablement and opportunity coaching
• Optimize Engagement Margin through quality solution design and right‑sized scoping
• Monitor deal velocity and identify cross‑sell opportunities
• Champion AI adoption with customers and builders
• Track and improve team KPIs and delivery readiness
• Ensure adherence to ProServe processes, tools, and quality standards
