Job summary

RTX seeks an experienced procurement leader to guide a team across multiple commodities and drive long-term strategy. You will oversee both on-site and virtual teams, aligning procurement practices with DoD compliance and RTX policies.

The role emphasizes coaching, performance management, and process improvement to deliver cost savings and high-quality supplier performance. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management, engineering or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience leading a team of professionals
  • Experience in supply chain compliance, procurement, and supplier management
  • Working knowledge of RTX’s supply chain systems and SAP purchasing tools
  • Experience with DoD procurement/subcontract compliance with FAR/DFAR, and ITAR
  • Proven ability to balance priorities and operate in a matrix environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership, direction, workload management, and escalation support for Procurement teams
  • Serve as an escalation point and trusted business partner for customers and stakeholders
  • Resolve complex issues and identify solutions
  • Assess performance and provide coaching, mentoring, and development
  • Ensure PO documentation aligns with work instructions, policies, practices, and procedures
  • Influence stakeholders to drive alignment in Procurement practices
  • Streamline processes, remove barriers, improve internal customer support, and reduce cost impacts
  • Promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, innovation, and a high-performance culture
  • Lead change management and transformation initiatives
  • Track, analyze, and present projects and team metrics to leadership
  • Drive accountability for results

Job description

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management, engineering or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of previous supervisory experience leading a team of professionals

  • Experience working in supply chain compliance, procurement, and supplier management

  • Master’s degree or MBA is a plus

  • Working knowledge of RTX’s various supply chain systems and SAP purchasing tools

  • Experience with DoD procurement/subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR

  • Experience negotiating terms and conditions

  • Ability to balance competing priorities and operate effectively within a matrix environment

  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop compliant and sustainable solutions

  • Significant experience using metrics to drive performance

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Customer relationship/interpersonal skills

  • U.S. citizenship is required
