Job summary

Raytheon Technologies seeks a senior Supply Chain Advisor to provide procurement guidance, negotiate terms, and support Raytheon Supply Chain Acquisition Professionals. The role leads a team, mentors staff, and ensures FAR/DFARS compliance across supplier agreements.

You will collaborate with Legal, Contracts, and Compliance to assess supplier risk and implement organization-wide processes and templates, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coach team on process improvements and development
  • Report team performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with leadership and RTX entities on strategy

Job description

  • Provide procurement guidance, negotiation strategy, and assistance to Raytheon Supply Chain Acquisition Professionals
  • Advise on supplier terms and conditions and long-term agreements to protect business interests and meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Craft risk analyses and provide drafting and negotiation support for collaborative agreements and software licenses
  • Interpret and support execution of FAR/DFARS, agency supplements, public law, and other regulatory requirements
  • Develop supplier issue strategies consistent with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and business objectives
  • Partner with Legal, Contracts, and Compliance colleagues to assess supplier risks and deliver consistent support
  • Lead and manage a team of Supply Chain Advisors supporting business-unit supplier matters
  • Mentor team members and guide resolution of complex issues with Supply Chain Counsel and subject-matter experts
  • Coach the team on skills, process improvements, and professional development
  • Report team performance data, identify trends and resource needs, and implement continuous improvement
  • Establish team goals and strategy; conduct performance assessments and compensation planning
  • Collaborate with functional subject-matter experts, Supply Chain Management leadership, business partners, and other RTX legal entities
  • Implement and maintain organization-wide policies, processes, templates, and tools
  • Travel as needed, sometimes on short notice
Requirements
  • University Degree or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field such as Juris Doctorate or Master's Degree in Legal Studies or similar and 10+ years of experience
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS and supplements
  • Experience with subcontract flowdowns
  • Experience drafting and negotiating subcontracts
  • Experience with collaborative agreements and software licenses or similar contracts
  • Experience leading, directing, and/or mentoring teams
  • Experience developing organization-wide processes, procedures, templates, and/or trainings
  • Experience with Supply Chain processes and procedures
  • Legal research experience
  • Knowledge of Intellectual Property, Global Trade, Cybersecurity, International agreements, and/or Privacy issues is valued
  • Strong analysis, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload, multitask, and prioritize work
  • Ability to travel as needed, sometimes on short notice
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance required
  • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1
