- Support Operations by developing and issuing RFP/RFQ events to prospective suppliers
- Determine best supply sources by executing and analyzing competitive RFP/RFQs
- Liaise between the Company and suppliers by negotiating costs and delivery requirements
- Conduct regular supplier reviews and sponsor productivity improvement plans when needed
- Issue purchase orders and amendments in accordance with production requirements and inventory goals
- Respond to internal schedule changes and communicate changes to the Supply Chain
- Support escalations or downgrades to production schedules with external suppliers
- Conduct outreach to Supply Chain to ensure purchased materials comply with delivery schedules
- Expedite suppliers as required to ensure on-time delivery
- Advise the Purchasing Manager of unusual cost, quality, or delivery trends
- Execute and manage strategic initiatives and projects supporting Procurement strategy
- Develop component sources and qualify suppliers as required
- Sponsor resolution of supplier quality issues
- Work efficiently within production time standards to meet deadlines
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet customer needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or management or equivalent experience
- At least ten (10) years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace-related
- Ability to read, understand, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Customer focus and sense of urgency for problem resolution

- Must meet regulatory requirements
- U.S. applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- For applicable ITAR/EAR-controlled positions, must be a U.S. Person or eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license
- Preferred: professional accreditations such as CPM, CPSM, or CPIM
- Preferred: experience in strategic commodity or category management
- Preferred: background in multiple commodities, including machining and hardware items
- May require lifting, pulling, and carrying up to twenty pounds
