Key Responsibilities For The Senior Manager, Accounts Payable
- Lead Accounts Payable operations across multiple entities, overseeing invoice processing, vendor payments, approval workflows, and team performance.
- Manage and develop the AP team, establish departmental KPIs, and address processing delays, payment exceptions, and vendor escalations.
- Oversee AP-related financial controls, subledger reconciliations, accrued liabilities, and month-end and year-end close activities.
- Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Procurement, and Operations to resolve payment discrepancies, support cash management, and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Evaluate AP systems and workflows, implementing process improvements and automation to improve accuracy, reporting, and processing efficiency.
Qualifications For The Senior Manager, Accounts Payable
- 7+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including 5+ years of leadership experience managing high-volume AP operations and developing accounting teams.
- Strong experience with multi-entity AP, procure-to-pay processes, payment controls, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Experience managing departmental KPIs, improving AP workflows, and supporting ERP implementations or automation initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
