Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Manager of Non-Sponsored Funds within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to lead financial operations and strategic planning for the non-sponsored funds portfolio.

You will supervise a team, manage fund lifecycle, ensure donor-terms compliance, and collaborate with departments to optimize unrestricted funds usage while maintaining regulatory compliance. Hybrid work arrangement with campus presence required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years' relevant work experience.
• MBA or Master's degree preferred; CPA desirable.
• Demonstrated experience with financial systems and data query tools (HART, Oracle, Advance).
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of fund accounting and nonprofit regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations for the FAS non-sponsored funds portfolio.
• Manage fund lifecycle including creation, terms acknowledgement, and donor relations.
• Ensure compliance with donor terms and University policies.
• Provide analysis and reporting to support fund management.
• Supervise the Non-Sponsored Funds team and develop staff.
