Job summary

Harvard University, Faculty of Arts & Sciences is seeking a Manager of Non-Sponsored Funds to lead accounting operations and provide specialized analysis and reporting. You will oversee the lifecycle of non-sponsored funds including endowments, gifts, and unrestricted funds, ensuring compliance with donor terms and university policies.

This role manages a team and partners with departments and university offices to optimize fund usage, improve reporting, and support strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations and planning for FAS non-sponsored funds.
• Ensure funds are managed per donor terms and university policies.
• Supervise the Non-Sponsored Funds team and fund lifecycle management.
• Review fund balances and donor restrictions to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with departments and offices (Gift Administration, Controller).
• Design and deliver financial training and internal controls.
