Job summary

S&C Electric Company is hiring a Senior Manager-Manufacturing Training & Capability Development to lead strategy, design and execution of training programs across manufacturing operations.

The role ensures frontline leaders, technicians and engineers have the skills, safety knowledge and leadership needed to meet quality and compliance standards. It oversees the Manufacturing Training Center and partners with Operations, Quality, Engineering and HR to align priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Organizational Development or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing training or technical development roles.
• 7+ years of leading teams in a manufacturing environment in a process/manufacturing/operations role.
• Understanding of adult learning concepts with the ability to translate operational requirements into structured learning programs.
• Knowledge and experience with Lean and Six Sigma Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive manufacturing training strategy aligned with operational goals; establish a roadmap focused on standardized work and technical skills.
• Oversee the design and execution of technical training for new hires based on standardized work used by production.
• Apply performance data, training metrics and quality feedback to evaluate and improve training programs; focus on measurable performance and root-cause analysis.
• Lead end-to-end Manufacturing Training Center operations; schedule programs, plan resources, ensure readiness and trainer assignment; enforce curriculum standards.
• Monitor industry trends and technologies; incorporate relevant advancements into training approaches.
• Recruit, develop and coach internal trainers to deliver standard work.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to align training with operational needs.
• Incorporate quality lessons and standard work updates into training materials; drive continuous improvement.
