Job summary

Spectrum Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead manufacturing training programs that enhance safety, compliance, and efficiency. You will oversee onboarding, technical, and safety training, partnering with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance.

The role emphasizes creating engaging learning resources, delivering varied training methods, maintaining records, and driving continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in training/learning & development or manufacturing operations.
• Experience delivering instructor-led, hands-on training.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain manufacturing training programs for new hires and existing employees.
• Develop onboarding programs, technical training, safety training, equipment training, and refresher courses.
• Create and update training materials, work instructions, qualification checklists, assessments, and other learning resources.
• Deliver classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training tailored to various learning styles and operational needs.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, and other subject matter experts to identify training needs and close skill gaps.
• Coordinate training schedules and ensure employees complete required qualifications and certifications.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, qualification documentation, and compliance files.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through employee feedback, observations, audits, and performance metrics.
• Recommend and implement improvements to training programs that increase safety, productivity, consistency, and operational performance.
• Ensure all training activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing safety standards.

This individual will oversee employee onboarding, technical training, safety initiatives, and ongoing skills development while partnering closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Safety teams. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, enjoys developing people, and is passionate about continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in training, learning & development, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
• Previous experience supporting employee training within a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, production, or operations environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, SOPs, safety programs, and employee qualification procedures.
• Experience developing and delivering instructor‑led, hands‑on, and on‑the‑job training programs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and project management abilities.
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to evaluate training effectiveness and recommend enhancements.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to production areas and equipment.
