Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager in McLean, VA to lead our Learning & Development Strategy, operating model, and facilitator leadership. You will guide a ~5-person facilitator team delivering flagship programs, while shaping data-informed decisions and enabling scalable learning across the enterprise.

You will recruit and manage adjunct facilitators, drive cross-functional alignment, and turn operational data into executive insights for monthly reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Information Technology, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field, or military experience.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, program management, or a combination of project planning, executing, tracking, and reporting
• 3 years of experience in people management

Responsibilities

• Set the overarching vision and operational standards for learning facilitation across the enterprise.
• Direct and support a pod of ~5 full-time facilitators delivering key programs such as Capital One Leads and S&G's Universal Curriculum.
• Build an adjunct talent pool to expand capacity and meet fluctuating content delivery demand.
• Serve as a hands-on facilitator when needed to ensure high-priority delivery.
• Own and govern L&D intake, prioritization, and capacity modeling frameworks and select next-gen tools.
• Untangle cross-functional handoffs to ensure seamless delivery across the L&D organization.
• Identify and mitigate workflow bottlenecks and risks to keep projects moving forward.
• Lead data ecosystem efforts with People Strategy & Analytics and data resources, managing intake and prioritization of data requests.
• Translate data into executive insights and MB R updates for leadership.
• Establish consistent standards and shared metrics with Consultation, Facilitation, and Design centers of excellence.
• Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks across L&D workflows and intake tools.
• Lead and mentor a team of individual contributors, setting priorities and supporting professional growth.
